About Course

Accredited by Yoga Alliance

Our 20-hour Prenatal Yoga Course is a comprehensive program designed for yoga teachers seeking to expand their expertise in supporting pregnant women through their transformative journey. Recognized by Yoga Alliance, this course provides participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills to confidently guide prenatal yoga classes.

The course begins by emphasizing the importance of yoga during pregnancy, addressing both the pre-conception and pregnancy phases. We delve into the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits that yoga offers during this special time, focusing on the well-being of both the mother and the baby.

To ensure safe and effective practice, we provide essential guidelines for yogic practice in general and specifically tailored for pregnant women. These guidelines encompass both the general principles of yoga and specific considerations for pregnant ladies, enabling teachers to create a supportive and nurturing environment for their students.

An in-depth exploration of the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy equips participants with a deeper understanding of the physical changes that occur during each trimester. We examine the signs and symptoms of pregnancy, the importance of prenatal care, and the significance of regular check-ups with healthcare providers. With an emphasis on safety, we address various conditions and complications that may arise during pregnancy, providing recommended protocols for different scenarios.

The course is divided into three sections, each focusing on a specific trimester. Participants will gain insights into the physiological changes experienced by women during these stages, both physically and mentally. They will learn important considerations and practices to support the well-being of both the mother and the growing baby.

Throughout the course, participants will delve into specific yoga practices tailored for each trimester. We emphasize building strength while encouraging rest, fostering balance and stability, and cultivating a deep connection between the mother and her baby. With a focus on asanas (postures), participants will learn a range of standing, sitting, and supine postures suitable for pregnant women, allowing them to address the unique needs of their students.

Breathing practices play a crucial role in prenatal yoga, aiding relaxation, reducing stress, and promoting a sense of calm. Participants will learn sectional breathing, abdominal breathing, and explore pranayama techniques such as alternate nostril breathing, bhramari pranayama, and sitali pranayama. These techniques empower both the mother and the baby, facilitating a harmonious flow of energy and breath.

Meditation, visualization, and yoga nidra practices further enhance the prenatal yoga experience. Participants will be guided through breath awareness meditation, walking meditation, mantra meditation, and various visualization exercises. These practices promote a deep connection with the baby, foster positive affirmations, and instill a sense of relaxation and well-being.

Our 20-hour Prenatal Yoga Course concludes with an exploration of the importance of chanting, positive affirmations, and visualization during pregnancy. Participants will gain tools to create a nurturing environment for expectant mothers, providing them with the support and empowerment they need for a positive and transformative birth experience.
