Interpretation and Variation

1.1 Definitions:

Academy: Refers to Maya Yoga Academy.
Maya Yoga Academy: Hereafter referred to as the Academy.
Participant/Student: Denotes an individual who has completed the registration process or accepted the terms and conditions online for a course or training program offered by the Academy.
Registration Form: Refers to the official enrollment form, either physical or digital, signed by each Participant.
Terms & Conditions: These terms and conditions as defined herein.
Website: The Academy’s official website, www.mayayogacademy.com or affiliated websites.

1.2 Incorporation:

These Terms & Conditions are integral to the Registration Form and online booking system.

1.3 Changes and Variations:

The Academy reserves the right to amend or revoke any of the Terms & Conditions as deemed necessary for the management and governance of the Academy and its courses. Any modifications will be published on the Academy’s website and will be legally binding for Participants until revoked.

1.4 Jurisdiction:

These Terms & Conditions are governed by United Arab Emirates law and fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of UAE.

Enrollment and Participation

2.1 Enrollment:

To become a Participant in a course or training program, one must complete the Registration Form or accept the terms and conditions online.

2.2 Acceptance:

Admission as a Participant is at the discretion of the Academy.

2.3 Withdrawal or Expulsion:

The Academy may withdraw, suspend, or refuse to renew the enrollment of any Participant whose conduct is deemed injurious to the Academy’s reputation, breaches the Terms & Conditions, or is deemed necessary for the well-being of other Participants. Expelled Participants will forfeit all membership privileges and are not entitled to refunds during the suspension period.

2.4 Promotional Offers:

The Academy may introduce promotional introductory offers from time to time.

Course Schedule

Class schedules may vary and will be published on the Academy’s website. Studios will be open 30 minutes before and after classes.

Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing:

Class prices, class card fees, and membership fees are available on the Academy’s website and may change at the Academy’s discretion.

4.2 Payment Restrictions:

Payments for classes do not grant access to classes at other yoga studios unless operated by the Academy.

4.3 Refund Policy:

Payments for classes, class card fees, monthly subscriptions, and annual payments are generally non-refundable unless specified otherwise in the Terms & Conditions.

4.4 Workshops and Retreats:

Workshops, retreats, and programs are non-refundable. Credits may be issued with a minimum of 2 days’ notice before the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (subject to the Academy’s discretion). Deposits are non-refundable.

Monthly Autopay

5.1 Application:

This clause applies to Participants subscribing to unlimited and limited classes on a monthly basis.

5.2 Notice of Fee Increase:

Participants must receive at least 30 working days’ written notice of any fee increase, unless otherwise specified in their contract.

5.3 Cancellation:

Participants can cancel their subscription with a one-month notice before the next renewal date, as per the contract terms.

5.4 Payment of Fees:

Participants who agree to the Minimum Subscription period of one month may be charged additional fees as described in the contract.

5.5 Rejection of Changes:

If a Participant disagrees with changes to the Terms & Conditions or fee increases, they may cancel their subscription within 30 days of the changes taking effect.

Personal Belongings

Participants bring personal belongings into the Academy at their own risk, and the Academy is not liable for any loss or damage. It is advised not to leave personal belongings in changing rooms or bathroom areas for security reasons.

Facility Bookings

Cancellation policies are as follows:

Early Cancellations (more than 3 hours before class): No fee.
Late Cancellations (within 2 hours of class): May result in the loss of a class.
No Show (failure to cancel or attend class): Loss of the pre-paid class.

Use of Facilities

Participants may use the Academy’s facilities during scheduled class times, with exceptions for maintenance or other necessary closures.

Health and Fitness

9.1 Medical Consultation:

Participants with health concerns are advised to consult a medical professional before engaging in strenuous physical activities.

9.2 Health Disclosure:

Participants must inform the Academy of any health conditions that could be affected by their practice.

9.3 Teacher Instructions:

Participants are required to follow teacher instructions at all times.

Dress Code and Footwear

Participants are requested to wear appropriate attire for yoga and pilates classes. Footwear should be removed upon entry to the studio.

Safety and Hygiene

Smoking is prohibited on the premises.
In case of fire, Participants should follow emergency exit procedures.
For hygiene reasons, changing rooms and bathrooms should be used for changing and rinsing, and shaving is not permitted in bathrooms.

General Guidelines

Participants must adhere to Academy guidelines and comply with reasonable instructions issued by the management for the convenience of all Participants.
Address changes of contact information promptly to receive communications from the Academy.
Email communication is accepted by Participants, acknowledging its potential lack of complete security and confidentiality.

Limitation of Liability

13.1 Facilities and Equipment:

The Academy is not responsible for unavailable services or equipment for any reason. Alterations to facilities are at the discretion of the Academy and may occur without notice, except when legally required.

13.2 Personal Responsibility:

Participants assume the risk of injury during exercises and should consult a doctor before starting any program or class. The Academy is not liable for property loss, injury, or damages, except where legally required.

Return / Refund Policy

Cancellations within 2 hours before class are non-refundable.
Cancellations up to 6 hours prior may receive a credit for a future class (subject to availability and cost similarity).

These Terms & Conditions for Maya Yoga Academy are effective from the date of acceptance by the Participant and remain in force until the completion of the applicable course or training program.
